Selfridges’ Good Natured Garden Centre
Prada sun loungers, gnomes and dial-a-gardener services are among the things you’ll find at the Selfridges Good Nature…
In response to the gardening craze sparked by the pandemic, Selfridges has opened a garden centre in its flagship store in London.
The pop-up garden centre is a response to recent Horticultural Trades Association figures, revealing that over 3 million people took up gardening as a new hobby in 2020 as a result of more time spent at home. Since the first lockdown 88 percent agree that having access to a garden or public green space is important.
Upon entering the Selfridges garden centre, customers are greeted by a potting shed where they can seek advice from gardening connoisseurs and participate in workshops until 11 July.
Did we mention there's a virtual dial-a-gardener service as well?
Gardening at Selfridges couldn’t be done without a touch of style, which is why they have introduced their exclusive themed collection from Prada, which includes Prada sliders and sun loungers, guaranteed to make you and your garden look chic.
A variety of bespoke Selfridges gardening merchandise is also available in-store and online and Gary the gnome, a limited-edition mascot, appears on a collection of totes, caps and T-shirts, with slogans like "Herb your enthusiasm" and "Avant-gardener." These items are also part of their Project Earth edit, so every purchase of a tote, cap or tee contributes to the support of sustainable farming and production processes!
Although Selfridges London features the largest garden centre, Selfridges stores in Birmingham and Manchester will have their own version of a garden centre where customers can browse the collection, as well as discovering more at Selfridges.com.
